Growing Attendance

I have gotten awesome feedback from various community organizers the past month about attendance. Many of the events the past 2-3 months have had a surge in attendance due to the marketing and advertising that Evergreen Hearts is doing. Organizers have had regular events triple in attendance size from attendees getting Evergreen Hearts promotions. I have gotten the feedback that some attendees ask "is this the Evergreen Hearts event", so we will do better at trying to differentiate that we are promoting the events for your groups. This is something we should all celebrate in getting the community more connected with attendees!

Parking

The Evergreen Hearts volunteers are collecting a lot of data from the community, both during event RSVPs and in person discussions. The number one data point of feedback that we hear from attendees is around complaints about parking. You may want to consider the parking situation more while planning your next event. While there is a segment of the community that takes public transit, the majority of attendees drive vehicles.

Newcomers Social

Evergreen Hearts will be continuing the Newcomers Social in January (announcement soon) with plans to host this each quarter. This is designed as an event where 60-80 newcomers (new to polyamory, new to area, new to community) mingle with a handful of community organizers to get a tour of the community. You will get invites to one of the upcoming events to promote your group. We will also have a handful of polyamory focused therapists helping attendees. This is also an excellent resource to point the newbies who come to your events that you may not have the time to deep dive into supporting them.

Connections

Evergreen Hearts has a committee currently planning a speed-friending/speed-dating event. This will likely be a quarterly event that launches in March (announcement soon). Our team frequently hears complaints from community organizers who have to moderate attendees looking for connections that are outside the scope of your group guidelines (direct message spams, hitting on attendees, etc). This event will be an excellent resource for you to refer people to when they are seeking a connection that does not fit your event guidelines.
