Mission

At Evergreen Hearts, our mission is to empower individuals in non-traditional relationships to thrive and create the lives they envision. We offer educational events that provide opportunities to help you explore, grow, foster connections, and celebrate your unique journey.

Operations

Evergreen Hearts serves the polyamory public by focusing on non-monogamy educational programs. Speakers are experienced professionals from various industries, rather than Evergreen Hearts staff. Educational topics cover vital topics such as personal development, relationship dynamics, effective communication, and emotional processing. While there are many excellent organizations dedicated to sex and kink education, we primarily concentrate on non-monogamous relationship topics.

We proudly support local businesses owned or operated by polyamorous individuals, including therapists, attorneys, financial advisors, and real estate brokers. In addition to our educational offerings, Evergreen Hearts hosts social and recreational events. We often have a vendor booth at festivals to increase awareness about polyamory.

Our events are not for everyone, as they can attract large crowds, and we provide a Sensory Advisory listed on each event page to outline what attendees can expect. If you have special needs or requests, feel free to contact us.

Attendees

Evergreen Hearts events are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to as many people as possible. While our content is tailored for those who identify as polyamorous, the themes of communication, relationships, and personal growth resonate with a diverse audience, including non-monogamous individuals and even monogamous attendees who find value in the events. Many of our events feature specific resources to support newcomers - those navigating their first year or two of their polyamory journey.

Content

Evergreen Hearts events serve as a platform for professional voices. The speakers are passionate volunteers from various industries, presenting content for informational purposes only. The views expressed by these speakers are their own and do not necessarily reflect those of Evergreen Hearts. We believe it is essential to provide a space for diverse perspectives, even within the same event, where speakers may share differing beliefs about the best practices in polyamory.

Organization

Established as a registered non-profit corporation in Washington state in 2023, Evergreen Hearts is structured as a private operating foundation. We are in the process of getting tax-exempt status with the IRS.

Our events take place across the Puget Sound region and attract attendees from all over the West Coast and Canada. While our administrative offices operate virtually, you can contact us by mail through our registered agent at: Evergreen Hearts, 522 W Riverside Ave, Suite 5362, Spokane, WA 99201.

Finances

As a non-profit, our event ticket sales are designed to cover venue and supply costs, allowing us to keep ticket prices very low. Many events feature VIP options with extra perks and sliding scale pricing to enhance accessibility for all.

Evergreen Hearts does not accept donations or public or private grants. Our operational and administrative costs are supported by personal contributions from our Board of Directors.

Team

Evergreen Hearts is an all-volunteer organization, meaning that our administration, support staff, and speakers work without financial compensation. Our Board of Directors consists of three members responsible for event programming, legal matters, and financial oversight. They review all submissions received through the Contact page. The Executive Director manages operations.

Support staff volunteer positions are available for each event, and we encourage you to subscribe to our volunteer alerts for updates on open positions. Speakers and exhibitors are not compensated, but volunteer to promote their businesses and share the ways that they serve the public interest of polyamorous people.
