Estate Planning, Safer Sex & Art: Polyamory Talks Returns April 19
Three fresh conversations about relationships, law, health, and creative expression.
EVENT ALERT

An interesting room is rarely defined by its décor. It is defined by the quality of the conversation taking place inside it. On Sunday, April 19 from 2:00–4:00 PM, Evergreen Hearts Foundation welcomes you to another gathering of Polyamory Talks™, an afternoon devoted to thoughtful discussion, practical knowledge, and the shared curiosity that brings people together to examine relationships with intention.
This program begins with a subject that many polyamorous households quietly wrestle with but rarely have the opportunity to discuss with a professional: estate planning. Jenny Ling will offer a clear and practical introduction to the legal tools that can help poly families protect one another—covering wills, trusts, beneficiary designations, and the subtle ways thoughtful planning can create security for the people who matter most.
From there, the conversation turns toward a topic that is equally essential, yet too often handled with outdated assumptions. Madeline Brown will present “Not Your Middle School Sex Ed: Safer Sex for Poly People.” Drawing on her work with Planned Parenthood, Madeline will explore how partners can co-create safety, communication, and informed consent outside the familiar scripts of monogamy.
To close the afternoon, we’ll shift from the practical to the expressive with a brief Polyamory Artist Panel featuring artists selected for the upcoming Seattle Erotic Art Festival. These artists will reflect on how non-traditional relationships shape their creative work—revealing how themes of intimacy, identity, and connection often find their way into visual storytelling.
Polyamory Talks™ is intentionally designed to be conversational rather than academic. Each presentation includes time for audience questions, and the program leaves space for guests to linger afterward—meeting others, exchanging ideas, and continuing the dialogue sparked during the afternoon.
The event will be held at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Seattle Airport – Southcenter, providing a comfortable setting for an afternoon devoted to thoughtful exploration and engaging company.
If you appreciate rooms where curiosity is welcomed and ideas are examined with both seriousness and warmth, we hope you’ll join us.
Tickets are available now, and we would be delighted to see you there.
