Online dating gives us access to more people than ever.

Finding the right people? That's where things get interesting.

What belongs in your profile? How do you communicate polyamory without making it sound like a disclaimer? What makes someone want to reply to a message? And once you've found an intriguing person, how do you turn a promising conversation into an actual date?

At Polyamory Talks on October 25, our headlining presenter Dr. Riki Thompson takes us inside the fascinating world of online dating.

A Communications Professor at the University of Washington, Dr. Thompson has spent years studying how people present themselves, communicate, and form connections in digital spaces.

In Online Dating Strategies for Polyamory, she'll explore practical ways to create a profile that attracts compatible people, communicate what you're looking for, navigate messaging, and make the leap from matching online to connecting in person.

And there's something particularly fitting about discussing how to meet interesting people online while sitting in a room full of interesting people you could meet right then.

Before Dr. Thompson takes the stage, Steve Ratcliff opens the afternoon with How to Ask for What You Want, an interactive conversation about desires, boundaries, consent, agreements, and better communication.

Then stick around afterward. We'll be gathering downstairs at the Atrium Bar for drinks, conversation, and perhaps a few connections that don't require an app at all.
