EVENT ALERT

The program for the Polyamory Expo is getting fleshed out more and more each day. With just over two weeks before doors open on the largest polyamory convention, we’re taking a moment to highlight the newcomer friendly presentations held on our Newcomers Stage.
So You Think You Might Be Poly? - Tanya Brakeman
This newcomer friendly presentation is an active participation focused talk about how to identify your desires, ground those desires in personal principle, and communicate those desires from a deep sense of personal dignity while respecting others’ unreadiness to meet you where you are.
Jealousy, Joy & New Relationship Energy: How to Begin Polyamory Without Losing Yourself - Rebecca Beltran
Starting polyamory can feel like learning to swim in an emotional ocean. This 50-minute immersive session is your beginner-friendly life raft.
We’ll break down the emotional undercurrents of consensual non-monogamy with warmth, clarity, and real tools you can use from day one. Whether you’re poly-curious, newly navigating open dynamics, or exploring with a partner for the first time, this session will help you understand your feelings—and your options.
Expect a mix of storytelling, body awareness, and gentle humor. You don’t need a partner to attend—just curiosity, and maybe a notebook.
Getting to Yes, Yes, Yes: How to Make (and Keep!) ENM Relationship Agreements - Tanya Jarvik
In this presentation, you’ll learn how to decrease conflict and increase intimacy by making agreements that honor both personal autonomy and interpersonal connection. We will cover how to identify underlying needs, why agreements are more effective than rules, why including a "sunset clause" can reduce resentment, and what to do when an agreement is broken.
All attendees will have the chance to join the newcomer friendly presentations held on the Newcomers Stage, while attendees who purchase the Conference + Expo Pass will be able to attend the conference sessions as well.
